Psychology Post Doctoral Fellowship

Children’s Minnesota•St. Paul, MN

About The Position

Children’s Minnesota is recruiting for its 2027–2028 Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Pediatric and Outpatient Psychology. The Psychological Services department serves patients at the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses and provides individual and family therapy, psychological assessment, inpatient consultation and liaison, and psychology services embedded in specialty clinics. There are three fellowship opportunities. One focuses on outpatient therapy and assessment, with additional training in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) from a certified Within Agency Trainer. The other two are pediatric psychology placements in one or two specialties: Diabetes, Feeding Disorders, Eating Disorders, Behavioral Sleep Medicine, Cancer and Blood Disorders, or Integrated Behavioral Health. These fellows also have outpatient therapy caseloads derived from specialty and consultation referrals. All fellows participate in inpatient consultation and liaison, monthly didactics, and case presentations. Fellowships are based at both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses. Opportunities to supervise or mentor practicum students are available. The clinical fellowship is primarily devoted to clinical service, including face-to-face care, charting, case management, care coordination, and observation of others’ clinical work. Remaining time is allocated to supervision, didactics, professional development, and related learning activities. Fellows work with medical providers, multidisciplinary teams, and families to develop skills in training, policy, and practice related to child and adolescent mental health services. The fellowship begins September 7, 2027, and ends September 1, 2028. Applications require a CV, a letter of interest identifying preferred tracks and relevant pediatric specialty training, and three reference letters, including one from someone at the applicant’s academic institution. Offers are contingent on successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screen, background investigation, and compliance with Form I-9 employment eligibility requirements.
