Postdoctoral Fellowships enable philosophers of science within five years of earning their doctorate to spend a two-term academic year at the Center for Philosophy of Science, working on a self-proposed project in philosophy of science. Two fellowships are offered each year. The Center encourages applications from assistant professors early in their careers and scholars who have recently completed their doctorates. Fellows are not required to teach or take on administrative responsibilities. They are expected to reside in Pittsburgh, conduct full-time research in an office at the Center, and participate in the Center’s intellectual life by attending and giving talks and contributing to discussion groups.
