Psychology Expert (AI Community)
About The Position
TELUS Digital is seeking Psychology Experts to review AI-generated content and help make the internet safer. Contributors use their knowledge of human behavior and mental health to assess whether AI content is safe, helpful, and responsible. The work includes reviewing content flagged as potentially harmful, evaluating AI interactions for bias or unfairness, identifying risks such as unsafe advice, and recommending safer responses. Experts also help ensure AI handles sensitive topics with appropriate care. This is a remote opportunity within the TELUS Digital AI Community, a global network of more than one million contributors. Contributors can manage their own schedules, subject to project availability and quality requirements. Applicants complete a subject-specific qualification exam and ID verification. This opportunity is offered on an independent contractor basis and does not create an employment relationship with TELUS Digital. Current expert pay rates range from $20 to $50 USD per hour; payment terms are defined for each project.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Native-level proficiency in the contributor’s primary language.
- Basic (B1) English proficiency to read project guides and safety rules.
- Ability to understand people’s feelings and identify risks.
- Pass a subject-specific qualification exam and complete ID verification.
Responsibilities
- Review content flagged as potentially risky or harmful and determine whether it follows safety rules.
- Analyze AI interactions with users to identify biased or unfair behavior.
- Identify situations where AI might provide harmful or inappropriate advice and suggest safer responses.
- Use psychology and mental health knowledge to help ensure AI recognizes and carefully handles sensitive topics.
