Human-AI Interaction & UX Expert (AI Community)
About The Position
TELUS Digital is seeking a Human-AI Interaction and UX Expert for its AI Community to improve how people interact with AI. The expert evaluates the friction between human intent and machine responses, refining conversational experience, AI personality, empathy, and logic. The goal is to make AI interactions feel more like partnerships by improving multi-turn conversations and user trust, while ensuring technology adapts to people. The role involves auditing conversational flows, analyzing trust calibration, developing and testing personas and tone, and evaluating accessibility and inclusivity across different speech patterns and dialects. Contributors work remotely as independent contractors, choose when and how much they work subject to project availability and quality requirements, and collaborate with a global community. Applicants must pass a subject-specific qualification exam and complete ID verification. Pay currently ranges from $18 to $50 USD per hour, with payment terms defined for each project.
Requirements
- A minimum bachelor's degree specifically in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Psychology, UX Research, or Behavioral Economics.
- Native-level (C2+) proficiency in a primary language.
- English proficiency at a minimum B1 (Intermediate) level.
- Pass a subject-specific qualification exam and complete ID verification.
Responsibilities
- Analyze multi-turn interactions to ensure the AI maintains conversational state, reduces cognitive load, and provides concise, actionable answers.
- Identify overconfident or overly cautious AI responses and refine trust calibration.
- Develop and test specialized AI personas and ensure tone aligns with different industries.
- Evaluate how models handle diverse speech patterns, non-standard dialects, and accessibility needs.
