About The Position

TELUS Digital is seeking freelancers with a background in psychology to review AI-generated content and help make the internet safer. The role applies knowledge of human behavior and mental health to assess whether AI content is safe, helpful, and responsible; a technical or computer science background is not required.

Contributors review flagged content for compliance with safety rules, analyze AI interactions for biased or unfair behavior, identify situations in which AI might provide harmful advice, and suggest safer responses. They also use their degree and mental health awareness to ensure sensitive topics are handled appropriately.

Applicants must pass a subject-specific qualification exam and complete identity verification. The opportunity is offered on an independent-contractor basis, with contributors choosing when and how much to work, subject to project availability and quality requirements. Payment terms are defined for each project; stated expert rates range from $20 to $50 USD per hour.

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Native-level proficiency in the contributor’s primary language.
• Basic English proficiency (B1) to read project guides and safety rules.
• Empathy and logical judgment to understand how people feel and identify risks.
• Pass a subject-specific qualification exam and complete identity verification.

Responsibilities

• Review content flagged as potentially risky or harmful and decide whether it follows safety rules.
• Analyze AI interactions with users and identify biased or unfair behavior.
