Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

This role involves providing effective individual psychiatric care via telehealth in an outpatient setting. The PMHNP will conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications. The position offers autonomy, allowing practice in the best interest of the patient without corporate administrative interference. Clinicians work in growing teams composed of multiple therapists and a prescriber, with a focus on collaboration and regular case discussions. Clinical work is performed from home, with flexible days and hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Virtual clinical team meetings and conferences are also part of the role.
Requirements
- Must have a PMHNP license and open to licensing in alternative states.
- 1+ years of experience as a PMHNP required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of healthcare professionals.
- Strong computer and technology skills.
- Strong clinical background in psychiatry.
- Strong background in the diagnosis of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments and familiarity with non-pharmacological interventions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Master's degree required.
- PMHNP license/certification required.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective individual psychiatric care via telehealth in an outpatient setting.
- Provide direct patient care, conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications as necessary.
- Ensure that all patient care is delivered in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with a diverse group of healthcare professionals.
- Participate in regular staffing with collaborating therapists to discuss patient cases or clinical topics.
- Attend clinical conferences.
