About The Position
Total Life is a national telehealth platform dedicated to providing behavioral health care to older adults, specifically Medicare beneficiaries. The company is expanding its services by building a dedicated psychiatric care team for seniors, starting in Florida. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help shape the clinical model, including protocols, patient journey, and the standard of care for online senior psychiatric medicine.
Requirements
- Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), OR a psychiatrist (MD/DO) in good standing.
- Active, unencumbered Florida license (or willingness to license in Florida).
- Active DEA registration (Florida DEA required to prescribe for Florida patients).
- For PMHNPs: a collaborating physician in place, or willingness to establish one.
- Experience with and enthusiasm for caring for older adults.
- Comfortable practicing via two-way live video telehealth.
- Mission-driven, collaborative, and ready to be a key voice on the clinical team.
- CV and a short note on experience caring for older adults.
Nice To Haves
- Multi-state licensure is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct telehealth psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits for older adults.
- Diagnose and manage psychiatric conditions common in seniors, including medication management within the scope of practice.
- Provide thoughtful, relationship-centered care, focusing on therapeutic alliance and outcomes.
- Complete clinical documentation in the platform, utilizing provided templates and code scaffolding.
- Collaborate with the broader care team, including lifestyle/longevity NPs, nutritionists, therapists, and primary care coordinators, to support the whole person.
- Surface meaningful escalations to patients' primary care providers regarding medication or adherence concerns to ensure connected care.
- Help shape the clinical model, including protocols, intake processes, outcome measures, and the overall patient experience.
