About The Position

CVS Health is offering an 11-week, full-time Provider Network Strategy & Operations internship from May 24, 2027, through August 4, 2027. The position follows a hybrid schedule, with three days generally spent in the Hartford, Connecticut office and two days working remotely from home, the office, or another location. Relocation assistance may be provided to qualifying candidates.

The intern will support the Northeast Provider Network organization, which manages relationships with healthcare providers and health systems across the Northeast. The organization negotiates provider contracts, supports value-based care initiatives, monitors contract performance, provides provider service support, promotes online tools, and develops strategies to deliver high-quality, affordable healthcare. Interns will work on business projects and have opportunities to participate in community service, professional development workshops, mentorship and networking, and interactions with senior leaders.

The internship is paid at $26 per hour for 40 hours per week. Interns do not work on July 4, a company holiday, and receive two days of paid leave. Corporate interns may have an increased likelihood of receiving an offer for a future CVS Health role. Work visa sponsorship is not available, including through CPT, OPT, or F-1 Visa programs.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree, with an anticipated graduation date between September 2027 and June 2028.
• Major must be relevant to the position, such as Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Health Management, Finance, Economics, Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Meet the educational requirements listed in the Education section.

Responsibilities

• Support provider contract management and negotiation through research, analysis, documentation, and tracking key deliverables.
• Coordinate timelines, milestones, governance activities, and strategic initiatives to develop project management skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on provider network priorities and operational objectives.
• Assist with executive-ready reports, presentations, and business updates for leadership teams.
• Learn how healthcare organizations manage provider relationships, network performance, and value-based care arrangements.
• Create and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and tracking mechanisms to support business decision-making.
• Participate in governance and Joint Operating Committee activities related to provider partnership management.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
