About The Position

The Proposal Manager I independently leads RFQ/RFP responses and straightforward SOQs while developing readiness to manage larger or more strategic pursuits. The role supports pursuit activities by coordinating schedules, contributors, templates, and proposal development tasks, and contributes to pursuit strategy and compliance. The position involves working with stakeholders and content providers to produce compliant, competitive, high-quality proposals and supporting the development of Proposal Coordinator staff.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of proposal experience.
• Strong writing, coordination, and time management skills.
• Working knowledge of proposal strategy and technical terminology.
• Experience managing schedules, stakeholders, and proposal deliverables.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign.
• Ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, coordinate stakeholders, and contribute to strategy, content development, and team coordination.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead proposal go/no-go decisions, kickoffs, schedules, templates, and day-to-day coordination for assigned pursuits.
• Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, coordinate groups of content providers, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Support strategy discussions and develop sections of strategic win plans.
• Lead the development of high-quality, persuasive proposals.
• Coordinate writing, editing, formatting, proofreading, graphics, and content completion.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication and ensure proposal deliverables meet submission requirements.
• Support compliant, competitive proposal development through organized collaboration.
• Provide mentorship to Proposal Coordinator staff.
• Maintain ownership of assigned proposals and schedule discipline; resolve routine proposal issues and escalate when needed.
