About The Position

San Antonio Shoemakers (SAS), a privately held San Antonio, Texas-based company and American manufacturer of comfort footwear, is hiring a Property Protection Representative. Different shifts are available. The role involves protecting company property, monitoring facilities and access points, documenting events, and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed. The employee may work indoors and outdoors and must be able to work independently. Other duties may be assigned as the company deems necessary.

Requirements

• Be reliable and trustworthy, mature, responsible, hardworking, respectful and caring toward co-workers, flexible, innovative, adaptable to change, accountable, and have good attendance.
• Be able to work alone.
• Hold a valid license to drive a vehicle in the state of Texas.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet the physical requirements, including frequent lifting of up to 30 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and have good vision for general observation.
• Be able to work day and night hours, including weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Previous security or guard experience.

Responsibilities

• Patrol property on foot and by golf cart.
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points.
• Permit entry to authorized personnel as needed.
• Keep records of events and irregularities.
• Contact supervision, police, fire services, or alarm monitoring as needed.
• Open premises and turn on lights and other identified equipment.
• Perform other duties specific to the shift or location, as assigned.
