About The Position

Mason Equity Group is seeking a reliable, skilled, and self-motivated Property Maintenance Specialist to maintain the condition and appearance of residential and commercial properties in its Central Columbus portfolio. The role includes routine maintenance and repairs, unit turnovers, and completing maintenance work orders efficiently and to a high standard. Required travel is reimbursed, and the position participates in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergency maintenance issues.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
Strong working knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Experience with power tools and basic hand tools, and ability to operate them safely and efficiently.
Trustworthy and dependable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Experience in both residential and commercial property maintenance.
Basic HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certifications.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations across residential and commercial properties.
Complete unit turnovers, including painting, minor repairs, and fixture replacements.
Address and resolve maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
Safely operate and maintain power tools and other equipment.
Troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry issues.
Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas and storage spaces.
Communicate with property management, tenants, and contractors about repairs and status updates as needed.
Follow safety protocols and company policies.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to respond to after-hours emergency maintenance issues using the company-provided emergency phone.
