About The Position

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Property Maintenance Specialist II in Pullman, Washington. This swing-shift position is scheduled Monday through Friday, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Working with an experienced team, the specialist performs custodial maintenance and floor care, maintains equipment and supplies, and supports workplace safety and environmental practices.

Requirements

• Two years of experience maintaining and cleaning commercial facilities.
• Ability to perform basic repairs, including carpentry, painting, and equipment installation.
• Ability to reach, bend, grip, twist, and stand for at least eight hours.
• Ability to lift and maneuver 40 pounds frequently.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform daily custodial maintenance duties of basic complexity, including sweeping, dusting, scrubbing, mopping, and trash removal.
• Respond appropriately to requests as needed.
• Assist with routine floor care, including stripping and sealing or waxing hard floors, carpet spotting, and carpet extraction.
• Use and maintain equipment and supplies properly, and perform routine maintenance as requested.
• Follow and continuously improve workplace safety and environmental practices, area processes, and waste reduction opportunities.
