Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in accounts receivable, proficient with general principles of accounting.
  • Post-secondary education
  • Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills; an ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships at all levels; ability to exercise confidentiality; displays enthusiasm and has a desire to learn; team player.
  • Strong organizational/multi-tasking skills – ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines; ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities and adapt to new ideas and constant changes.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office; particularly Word and Excel.
  • Bilingual – Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written) due to frequent communication with customers and accounting departments outside Quebec.
  • A criminal verification check is required for employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Yardi would be asset.
  • Previous property management experience an asset.
  • Knowledge of Yardi a definite asset.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices for assigned building, including matching to purchase orders, coding invoices to comply with budget schedules and compiling and verifying batches submitted to accounting.
  • Assist with accounts receivables when required.
  • Responsible for all monthly recurring invoices.
  • Responsible for all tenant/ property chargebacks.
  • Ensure that all invoices are accurate and addressed to the correct entities.
  • Maintain P.O. tracking system.
  • Address vendor and outstanding payment and invoice inquiries.
  • Interact, communicate, and correspond professionally and effectively with all stakeholders, whether they are tenants, suppliers, professionals, visitors, or maintenance staff.
  • Maintain filing system for chargebacks and work orders.
  • Liaise with contractors and building operating staff.
  • Assist with special projects, tenant events and other office functions as required.
  • Other administrative tasks and responsibilities as may be required from time to time.
  • Embrace and proactively support BGO's culture of environmental responsibility and social responsibility.
