About The Position

The Propane Bobtail Driver safely and promptly delivers propane to customers, including loading and unloading product and providing customer service. The role is responsible for safe propane handling and delivery, maintaining and inspecting the vehicle and equipment, and reporting mechanical or safety issues. Drivers coordinate with the Dispatcher about routing and scheduling and may be required to work overtime when business needs require it. Evening and weekend on-call rotation may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of delivery driver experience.
• CDL Class A or B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Willingness to rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane to and from customer containers, including bulk trucks, tanks, and cylinders.
• Keep the vehicle clean and organized.
• Use available technology to monitor and track propane inventory transfers, tank levels, and container sizing.
• Accurately record and print customer delivery tickets and complete and submit daily driver reports when necessary.
• Maintain equipment to high safety standards and report mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager or Dispatcher.
• Conduct and, when applicable, document pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
• Coordinate with the Dispatcher for routing and scheduling information.
• Immediately notify the Dispatcher of product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues and obtain guidance on resolving them.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
