About The Position

The Local Fuel Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and promptly delivering propane to customers. The role involves delivering, loading, and unloading propane while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high safety standards for propane handling. Drivers also conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance, use available technology to track inventory and document deliveries, and coordinate with the Dispatcher on routing, scheduling, and operational issues. Overtime may be required when business needs require it.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of delivery driver experience.
• CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane to and from customer containers, including bulk trucks, tanks, and cylinders.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Use available technology to monitor and track propane inventory transfers, tank levels, and container sizing.
• Accurately record and print customer delivery tickets for delivered product.
• Accurately complete and submit daily driver reports where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest safety standards and report mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager or Dispatcher.
• Conduct and, if applicable, document pre- and post-vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
• Coordinate frequently with the Dispatcher regarding routing and scheduling.
• Immediately notify the Dispatcher of product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues and obtain guidance on resolving them.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
