About The Position

Sapp Bros. is seeking a full-time CDL Driver to join its transportation team. The driver is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and delivering packaged lubricants, drums, and other merchandise to truck stops or directly to customers’ places of business. Drivers represent the company on the road and are expected to operate vehicles safely and courteously, follow the law, and complete work accurately. This local role includes being home every night, overtime availability, and a monthly safety bonus.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Current DOT health card required.
• Excellent driving and safety record required.
• Must pass criminal background checks, including motor vehicle records, DOT, and employment reference verification.
• Must receive negative results on all drug and alcohol screening tests, including pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, and random testing.
• Able to remain alert while driving for periods of up to 11 hours.
• Able to squat, crouch, and reach as needed to handle, secure, and deliver products.
• Able to enter and exit the vehicle cab numerous times each day.
• Able to push freight weighing up to 1,000 pounds on a dolly or cart and move products weighing up to 80 pounds, with or without mechanical aid.
• Able to handle any special equipment required for product delivery.
• Must be safety-focused, detail-oriented, patient, and courteous.

Nice To Haves

• Class A CDL strongly preferred.
• Hazmat, Airbrakes, and Tanker endorsements strongly preferred; endorsements must be obtained upon employment.
• Previous experience in oil and/or fuel transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport, and deliver packaged lubricants, drums, and other merchandise.
