About The Position

Hoefer Welker is seeking a qualified Project Manager to manage medical equipment planning or medical equipment procurement consulting services within the healthcare architectural design and construction industry. This is a remote role, but the candidate must reside in the Miami area. As a member of an integrated Clinical Technology team, this role involves managing medical equipment planning or procurement tasks for small to medium-sized projects, potentially with oversight from senior project managers. Responsibilities include using an online medical equipment database for planning, developing spreadsheets, data entry and reporting, gathering price quotations, developing procurement documents, and participating in or overseeing on-site installations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent as well as some college preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in medical equipment planning or medical equipment supply chain/purchasing.
  • Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and willingness to use insured personal vehicle in the course of employment.
  • Candidate must work independently as the main project liaison and utilizes project coordinator support members to deliver the work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to initiate and demonstrate resourcefulness.
  • Effective and professional communication skills with both internal and external clients, consultants, and vendors to the organization; good spelling & grammar skills, multi-task orientated.
  • Ability to present ideas to clients, which include clinicians, hospital administration and executives and medical equipment vendors.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and personally driven to consistently meet project deadlines and performance goals.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with various disciplines and types of people and committed to being an effective, contributing team player.
  • Detail oriented and able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an architecture office is desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages small/medium projects regarding medical equipment planning or procurement aspects of projects.
  • Works independently as a liaison for the client, architect or project team and utilizes project coordinators to deliver work.
  • Participates in project design or procurement meetings and is responsible for developing, managing and coordinating project deliverables.
  • Actively manages project team communications, documentation and awareness of project scope of services, workplans and managing hours against fee.
  • Receives guidance and oversight from senior project managers or senior supervisors.
  • Serves as a mentor and training liaison for project coordinators.
  • Serves as the primary liaison with client and architectural design teams.
  • Maintains awareness of project financial management (scope of services, project workplans, managing hours/costs vs. fee) and A/R collections for projects.
