Given our growth, we are currently looking for a Project Coordinator to join our dynamic Ottawa team. Unfortunately this position is not available internationally. Job summary: Reporting to the Area General Manager , the incumbent's main responsibility is to support the project managers in their tasks.

Requirements

  • Having successfully completed a college diploma in Construction Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • Having participated in a minimum of 2 COOPs with a construction companie or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills, both in verbally and in writing .
  • Having the ability to do quantity take off from project drawings.
  • Be proficient with MS Office suite, Excel, Word and MS-Project
  • Basic knowledge of construction software such as Procore or Dreeven.
  • Basic knowledge of Revit and BIM.
  • Analytic approach to problems and challenges
  • Have a strong aptitude for communication and interpersonal relations.
  • Be structured and organized;
  • Be rigorous and pay attention to details.
  • Must be a Team player.
  • You must have clearance to be able to work on government projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Estimating experience (an asset)
  • Basic knowledge of the French language is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Gathers and file project’s documentation such as H&S, shop drawings, close-out.
  • Actively participate in various meetings with the different project’s stakeholders.
  • Participates in the planning of large-scale pursuits, gathering of projects documents, data entry.
  • Develops, implements and updates the internal integrated information management system.
  • Develops, implements, and updates our quality control process for documents management as well as insuring that the technical documents are according to the project’s requirements and expectations.
  • Prepare presentations, various reports as well as other documents required for projects.
  • Prepare content for meetings, scheduling of meetings and taking minutes.
  • Any other related task
