About The Position

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Social Media Coordinator. This exciting opportunity involves capturing and documenting events through photography and videography. Ideal candidates should have a passion for visual storytelling, a keen interest in photography and videography, and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic work environment.

Requirements

• Strong interest in media, photography and videography.
• Willingness to learn and undergo training.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in photo and video editing software.
• Availability to work part-time, including evenings and weekends.
• Excellent organizational, communication and multitasking abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with local MAC events and an understanding of the organization's mission.
• Be aged between 15 and 30 years old on the start date of the job
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
• Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.

Nice To Haves

• Graphic design experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of WordPress and Canva will be considered as an asset

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management to ensure high-quality visual representation of events.
• Capture high-quality visual content during events.
• Edit and organize media content for various platforms.
• Keep an inventory of media equipment, ensuring everything is in proper working condition.
• Organize media files in a systematic manner for easy access and retrieval.
• Identify opportunities for increased media visibility and propose creative solutions.
• Proactively engage with event participants and stakeholders to gather compelling stories and testimonials.
• Serve as the key point of contact between different social media teams.
