About The Position

The Programming & Project Coordinator administers programming schedules and lineup updates across seven broadcast channels and the KOB Streaming Channel. The role coordinates programming communications with internal and external partners, NBC, Master Control, news, and local and corporate teams. It also supports promotional projects, local specials, syndicated programming, children’s educational programming, and FCC reporting. In addition, the coordinator organizes interviews and sponsored phone-bank events for local initiatives and responds to requests for station tours and school visits. The position generally works during regular business hours but may require work at other times as needed. The role also includes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Advanced digital skills and ability to fully utilize programming software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Resourceful and collaborative, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work autonomously and as a contributing team member.
Valid driver's license and a safe driving history as determined by the Company; driving record will be checked.
Ability to listen to and respond verbally in English to others.
Manual dexterity to operate office equipment, including a telephone, copier, and fax machine.
Ability to think critically and logically.
Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
Ability to work with time-sensitive information under tight deadlines and in pressure situations.

Responsibilities

Administer daily network, local, and syndicated lineup updates across seven broadcast channels and promptly communicate changes to internal and external partners.
Manage the NBC Portal and communications with the NBC programming team.
Ensure program titles are accurate in Nielsen ratings systems.
Write and edit programming schedules for the weekly employee newsletter.
Assist with scheduling and communicating promotional projects and local specials, and coordinate with news about related segments.
Maintain syndicated programming contracts and advise leadership about timelines and changes.
Schedule and reschedule children's educational programming, analyze data, and share required FCC reports.
Coordinate quarterly FCC Issues & Programs reports with local and corporate teams.
Manage daily lineup updates for the KOB Streaming Channel and fill programming gaps with streaming-only specials.
Coordinate with Master Control on recording schedules, special programming, and captioning.
Coordinate interviews for multi-day local events, resolve scheduling conflicts, and meet broadcast deadlines.
Coordinate sponsored phone-bank events with internal teams and community partners, maintain relationships, and share results.
Respond to and coordinate requests for station tours and school visits.
Work cooperatively and collaboratively with others, assist in developing solutions, build effective relationships, and act professionally.
Complete other duties as assigned.
