Programming Coordinator, Memory Care
About The Position
The Programming Coordinator, Memory Care helps create and lead an engaging program that maximizes resident engagement and enhances residents’ quality of life. The role supports the department in planning, coordinating, and implementing adult-centric, relevant, elevated, and purposeful activities and events. It also supports development of a balanced monthly program calendar featuring cultural, intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and recreational opportunities. The coordinator helps arrange performers and instructors for residents, encourages participation through positive relationships and personalized interactions, and assists the Director of Entertainment & Programming with medical transportation and outings within community guidelines. The role also involves helping residents enter and exit the community vehicle.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in using Internet resources and understanding and using current technology.
- Valid driver’s license, clean motor vehicle record, and at least three years of driving experience.
- Strong customer service skills.
- A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, open mind, and desire to create a wonderful lifestyle for residents.
Nice To Haves
- Previous relevant experience as a Programming Coordinator (Activities) is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Support the department in planning, coordinating, and implementing resident activities and events.
- Assist in developing a monthly program calendar balanced across cultural, intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and recreational opportunities.
- Help procure groups, organizations, and individuals to perform for or instruct residents.
- Encourage residents to participate in activities through positive relationships and personalized interactions.
- Assist the Director of Entertainment & Programming with medical transportation for residents within community guidelines.
- Help organize innovative and interesting outings and excursions.
- Assist residents in entering and exiting the community vehicle.
