About The Position

The Programming Coordinator, Memory Care helps create and lead an engaging program that maximizes resident participation and enhances quality of life. The role supports the department in planning, coordinating, and implementing relevant, purposeful activities and events for adults. It also helps develop the monthly program calendar, arrange performers and instructors, and encourage residents to participate through positive relationships and personalized interactions.

The coordinator assists the Director of Entertainment & Programming with medical transportation, outings, and excursions within community guidelines, and helps residents enter and exit the community vehicle. The schedule is full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency using internet resources and understanding and use of current technology.
• Valid driver's license, clean motor vehicle record, and at least three years of driving experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Eagerness to learn, open-mindedness, and a desire to create a wonderful lifestyle for residents.

Nice To Haves

• Previous relevant experience as a Programming Coordinator (Activities) is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the department in planning, coordinating, and implementing adult-centric, relevant, elevated, and purposeful activities and events.
• Assist in developing the monthly program calendar, balancing cultural, intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and recreational opportunities.
• Help procure groups, organizations, and individuals to perform for or instruct residents.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities through positive relationships and personalized interactions.
• Assist the Director of Entertainment & Programming with medical transportation within community guidelines, as well as outings and excursions.
• Assist residents in entering and exiting the community vehicle.
