About The Position

The Programming Coordinator, Memory Care helps create and lead engaging programs that maximize resident participation and enhance residents’ quality of life. The role supports the department in planning, coordinating, and implementing adult-centric, relevant, elevated, and purposeful activities and events. The coordinator also helps develop the monthly program calendar, encourages residents to participate through positive relationships and personalized interactions, and assists with performances, instruction, transportation, and outings.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency using Internet resources and understanding and use of current technology.
• Valid driver’s license, clean motor vehicle record, and at least three years of driving experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• A smile, eagerness to learn, open mind, and desire to create a wonderful lifestyle for residents.

Nice To Haves

• Previous relevant experience as a Programming Coordinator (Activities) is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall support to the department in planning, coordinating, and implementing activities and events.
• Assist in developing the monthly program calendar, balancing cultural, intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and recreational opportunities.
• Assist in procuring groups, organizations, and individuals to perform for or instruct residents.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities through positive relationships and personalized interactions.
• Assist the Director of Entertainment & Programming with medical transportation within community guidelines and with planning innovative outings and excursions.
• Assist residents in entering and exiting the community vehicle.
