About The Position

The Programming Coordinator, Memory Care helps create and lead programs that maximize resident engagement and enhance residents’ quality of life. The role supports the department in planning, coordinating, and implementing adult-centric, relevant, elevated, and purposeful activities and events. It assists with developing the monthly program calendar, arranging performers and instructors, and encouraging resident participation through positive relationships and personalized interactions. The coordinator also assists the Director of Entertainment & Programming with medical transportation and outings, and helps residents enter and exit the community vehicle. The schedule is full-time and includes every other weekend.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency using Internet resources and understanding and use of current technology.
• Valid driver's license, clean motor vehicle record, and at least three years of driving experience.
• Strong customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous relevant experience as a Programming Coordinator (Activities) is preferred but not required.
• Eagerness to learn, an open mind, and a desire to create a wonderful lifestyle for residents.

Responsibilities

• Support the department in planning, coordinating, and implementing adult-centric, relevant, elevated, and purposeful activities and events.
• Assist in developing the monthly program calendar, balancing cultural, intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and recreational opportunities.
• Help procure groups, organizations, and individuals to perform for or instruct residents.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities through positive relationships and personalized interactions.
• Assist the Director of Entertainment & Programming in providing medical transportation to residents within community guidelines.
• Assist with organizing innovative and interesting outings and excursions.
• Assist residents in entering and exiting the community vehicle.
