About The Position

The Programming Coordinator, Memory Care helps create and lead an engaging program that maximizes resident engagement and enhances residents’ quality of life. The position supports the Entertainment & Programming department with planning, coordinating, and implementing relevant, purposeful activities and events for adults. It also supports transportation and outings in accordance with community guidelines. The schedule is full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Compensation is $19–$21 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be proficient in using Internet resources and demonstrate understanding and use of current technology.
Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean motor vehicle record, and at least three years of driving experience.
Strong customer service skills required.
A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, open mind, and desire to create a wonderful lifestyle for residents.

Nice To Haves

Previous relevant experience as a Programming Coordinator (Activities) is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Support the department in planning, coordinating, and implementing adult-centric, relevant, elevated, and purposeful activities and events.
Assist in developing the monthly program calendar, balancing cultural, intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and recreational opportunities.
Help procure groups, organizations, and individuals to perform for or instruct residents.
Encourage residents to participate in activities through positive relationships and personalized interactions.
Assist the Director of Entertainment & Programming in providing medical transportation to residents within community guidelines, as well as organizing outings and excursions.
Assist residents in entering and exiting the community vehicle.
