About The Position
The Village at Willow Crossings is hiring a Memory Care Programming Coordinator to organize, implement, and evaluate programs tailored to residents’ individual needs. Programming is intended to support residents’ psychological, intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs and promote self-esteem in a caring, nurturing environment. The coordinator supports and assists with necessary programming and helps enhance residents’ experience while building relationships with residents, families, and community organizations. The schedule is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., including every other weekend. The position requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in knowledge of aging and dementia.
- Experience and training sufficient to develop a robust calendar of programs for elders and people with dementia.
- Current CPR certification if required.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, oversee, implement, and evaluate community programming to enhance residents’ experience.
- Develop and cultivate relationships with current residents, families, and community organizations.
- Oversee scheduling of events, trips, meetings, rooms, and group functions.
- Develop, promote, coordinate, and oversee community events.
- Edit, produce, and distribute a monthly community newsletter.
- Support and assist in necessary programming.
