Crater Health District is a part of the Virginia Department of Health. Crater health district is looking to fill their Program Support Technician position. This position independently performs technical office tasks in support of a single program area regularly requiring application of policy and procedures. Characteristic activities: Serves as contact and information resource for one or more programs; serves as lead worker to direct, advise and train others; designs and directs workflow processes; researches and processes claims; collects data and prepares reports on program activities.
Requirements
- Knowledge of office procedures, computer and software technology, use of policies & procedures and customer service
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, orally and written
- Strong organizational skills and experience with software applications and Microsoft Office products (i.e. WORD, EXCEL, and database entry) and general office equipment (copier, fax, calculator)
- Ability and experience with setting up and maintaining files & manuals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to follow and apply established procedures and applicable policies
