About The Position

The Program Supervisor I works as a member of an interdisciplinary team to implement and monitor treatment for residents in a secure residential facility, while supporting a Trauma Informed Care environment. The role helps implement program goals and objectives using a strengths-based, client-centered approach to support residents in achieving individual goals and transitioning to a less restrictive setting. The Program Supervisor ensures program activities are carried out in cooperation with treatment team members and as directed by the Program Manager. The position provides general and specific direction to team members, manages the program milieu, and serves as a backup to supervised staff. Cascadia operates secure residential homes for adults experiencing severe and persistent mental health challenges. The homes provide psychiatric treatment, personal care, skills training, and case management, with a focus on immediate safety and preparation for living in a less restrictive environment. Work takes place at Faulkner Place, a secure residential treatment facility in southeast Portland, Oregon. The scheduled hours are Sunday through Thursday, generally 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with Tuesdays listed as 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The role may require covering shifts or working additional hours when staffing needs arise. The work is performed in a locked residential setting with a focus on community reintegration, rehabilitation, therapy and skills-building groups, dual-diagnosis treatment, nutrition and exercise, vocational training, and staff-escorted community outings. Daily routines can be hectic and unpredictable; meal periods and breaks may be interrupted. The employee must remain alert to potential violence, disease exposure, biohazards, noise, and contaminants, and may need to perform other site functions or household tasks as needed.
