About The Position

ViaQuest Day & Employment Services is hiring a full-time Program Specialist Direct Support Professional for its Day Program. The role supports individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required. The schedule is Monday through Friday, first shift, at $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Motor vehicle record must meet requirements, including no OVI/DUI, reckless operation, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over the posted limit; no more than two moving violations in the last two years or more than five points.
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Transport individuals between their homes and the Day Program in a company passenger van.
• Provide personal care assistance.
• Participate in community outings by transporting and assisting individuals served.
