About The Position

ViaQuest Day & Employment Services is hiring a Day Program Aide to support individuals with developmental disabilities in its Day Program. The role focuses on fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring individuals’ health and safety. Training is provided in its entirety, and prior experience is not required. The schedule is Monday through Friday, first shift, full-time, at $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Motor vehicle record must meet specified requirements, including no OVI/DUI, reckless operation, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over the posted limit; no more than two moving violations in the last two years; and no more than five points.
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities while promoting independence, choice, and empowerment and ensuring their health and safety.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Transport individuals between their homes and the Day Program using a company passenger van.
• Provide personal care assistance.
• Transport and assist individuals during community outings.
