About The Position

ViaQuest Day & Employment Services is hiring a Day Program Aide to support individuals with developmental disabilities in its Day Program. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday on the first shift, and pays $17.75 per hour. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required.

The aide provides direct care and support to help individuals increase their independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety. The role also involves supervising, teaching, and assisting individuals in daily life, providing personal care, transporting them between their homes and the Day Program in a company passenger van, and accompanying them on community outings.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Motor vehicle record must meet requirements, including no OVI/DUI, reckless operation, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over the posted limit.
• No more than two moving violations in the last two years or more than five points on the motor vehicle record.
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting their health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Transport individuals between their homes and the Day Program using a company passenger van.
• Provide personal care assistance.
• Participate in community outings by transporting and assisting individuals served.
