About The Position

ViaQuest Day & Employment Services provides support to individuals with developmental disabilities in its Day Program. The Day Program Aide provides direct care and support, helping individuals build independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety. Training is provided in its entirety, and no prior experience is required. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, on the first shift, at $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Motor vehicle record must meet requirements, including no OVI/DUI, reckless operation, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over the posted limit; no more than two moving violations in the last two years or more than five points.
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities while promoting independence, choice, and empowerment and meeting health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Transport individuals between their homes and the Day Program using a company passenger van.
• Provide personal care assistance.
• Participate in community outings by transporting and assisting individuals served.
