DSP: Day Program Aide (Mon-Fri 1st shift)
About The Position
ViaQuest Day & Employment Services is hiring a full-time Direct Support Professional to support individuals with developmental disabilities in its Day Program in Zanesville. The schedule is Monday through Friday on the first shift, and the position pays $17.75 per hour. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required. The role focuses on supporting individuals’ health and safety while fostering independence, choice, and empowerment. Duties include providing direct and personal care, supervising and assisting individuals in daily activities, transporting them between their homes and the Day Program in a company passenger van, and accompanying them on community outings.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
- Ability to push, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs. and to climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety.
- Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
- Transport individuals between their homes and the Day Program using a company passenger van.
- Provide personal care assistance.
- Transport and assist individuals during community outings.
