Program Project Coordinator

Covenant House California•Los Angeles, CA
•$70,304 - $73,304

About The Position

Covenant House California (CHC) is a nonprofit organization that provides sanctuary and a full continuum of support to young people ages 18–24 who are overcoming homelessness. CHC is committed to an inclusive, affirming, and equitable environment for youth and staff, and to advancing anti-racism. The Program Project Coordinator provides high-level administrative and programmatic support to the Chief Program Officer (CPO), helping manage the CPO’s calendar, communications, and daily priorities. The role also supports the Northern and Southern California Senior Vice Presidents (SVPs) with special projects, policies and procedures, and other duties that strengthen program operations and consistency across the state. The position combines executive administrative support—including calendar management, meeting logistics, audit preparation, meeting notes, and travel coordination—with ownership of program-focused projects assigned by the CPO. The coordinator helps maintain information flow, track deadlines, organize trainings and professional development logistics, and keep the Program Division’s administrative systems operating effectively. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to anticipate executive needs in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Occasional travel across CHC sites in Northern and Southern California is required.

  • High discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally across CHC sites in Northern and Southern California.
  • Ability to anticipate executive needs, follow through on details without close supervision, build relationships, and adapt between administrative and project work in a fast-paced environment.
