About The Position

Senior Life Solutions, a division of Psychiatric Medical Care, is hiring an RN or LPN/LVN as a Program Nurse for a new Intensive Outpatient Program serving adults ages 65 and older in the Sabetha, Kansas community. The nurse will work with a small interdisciplinary team to provide nursing care to behavioral health program patients, support community mental health education, and contribute to program quality and development. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no on-call duties or weekends. The program is scheduled to open in October, with staff starting in September.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
Graduation from a state-approved school of nursing.
Associate degree or above.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including a psychiatric physician, social worker, and CNA, to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients enrolled in the behavioral health program.
Develop and deliver community educational presentations, workshops, and seminars to promote understanding of mental health issues and inform people about available resources.
Provide insights and feedback on patient care processes, program development, and quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment strategies, and community outreach efforts.
