About The Position

The Nurse (RN/LPN) provides nursing care to individual patients and families in an ambulatory setting. The role includes administering medications, screening patients, assisting physicians in emergency cases, and delivering quality care in a warm, friendly atmosphere. Nurses are expected to follow Patient First policies and procedures, use sound judgment, support teamwork, and provide positive customer service. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Keyboarding experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Licensed to practice as a Nurse in the state of Virginia.

Nice To Haves

• One year of clerical experience.
• One year of clinical experience administering medications.

Responsibilities

• Implement Patient First policies and procedures.
• Provide quality nursing care and create a warm, friendly atmosphere for patients and employees.
• Provide nursing care to individual patients and families in an ambulatory setting.
• Use sound judgment when administering medical care and screening patients.
• Administer medications and understand the correct dosage, actions, and side effects of each medication administered.
• Assist the physician in emergency cases.
• Provide positive, warm, and friendly customer service in all interactions.
• Foster teamwork and a positive, professional atmosphere.
• Complete other duties as directed.
