About The Position

Senior Life Solutions, a division of Psychiatric Medical Care, is hiring an RN or LPN/LVN for its new Intensive Outpatient Program serving adults age 65 and older in Emporia, Kansas. The program is scheduled to open in October, with staff starting in September. The Program Nurse works with a small, interdisciplinary care team to provide nursing care and compassionate mental health support to patients enrolled in the behavioral health program. The role also includes community education and participation in program quality improvement. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no on-call duties or weekends. Pay is up to $38 per hour, depending on experience and licensure.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
• Graduation from a state-approved school of nursing.
• Associate degree or above.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including a psychiatric physician, social worker, and CNA, to provide comprehensive nursing care to behavioral health program patients.
• Engage the local community by developing and delivering educational presentations, workshops, and seminars about mental health and available resources.
• Provide insights and feedback on patient care processes, program development, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment strategies, and community outreach efforts.
