About The Position

Senior Life Solutions, a division of Psychiatric Medical Care, is hiring an RN or LPN/LVN for its new Intensive Outpatient Program in Emporia, Kansas, serving adults ages 65 and older. The program is scheduled to open in October, with staff starting in September. The nurse works with a collaborative, interdisciplinary care team to provide compassionate mental health support and nursing care to program patients. The role focuses on care, community engagement, and compliance, including local mental health education and participation in program and quality improvement.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
• Graduation from a state-approved school of nursing.
• Associate degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including a psychiatric physician, social worker, and CNA, to provide comprehensive nursing care to behavioral health program patients.
• Engage the local community by developing and delivering educational presentations, workshops, and seminars about mental health and available resources.
• Provide insights and feedback on patient care processes, program development, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment strategies, and community outreach efforts.
