About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable RN or LPN to provide care at its Eastern Shore location in Cambridge, Maryland. Nurses support individuals beginning recovery in a safe, supportive, and structured medical environment, providing care throughout admission, treatment, and discharge. The facility is a 100-bed residential center offering drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services.

Requirements

• Completion of a minimum one-year diploma program after high school.
• Current RN or LPN licensure to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and efficient, with the ability to multitask.
• Compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in behavioral health, detox, med-surg, corrections, or long-term care is welcomed; applicants seeking more meaningful patient care are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality medical care for each client throughout admission, treatment, and discharge.
• Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain clear medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, tracking, and reporting for each client.
• Provide patient education in individual and group settings.
