About The Position

Senior Life Solutions, a division of Psychiatric Medical Care, is hiring an RN or LPN/LVN as a Program Nurse for its new Intensive Outpatient Program in Sabetha, Kansas. The program serves older adults ages 65 and older and is scheduled to open in October, with staff starting in September. The nurse works with a small, interdisciplinary care team to provide nursing care and mental health support to program patients, engage the local community in mental health education and outreach, and contribute to program quality and development. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no call and no weekends. Hourly pay is listed as $20 to $30, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
• Graduation from a state-approved school of nursing.
• Associate-level education or above.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including a psychiatric physician, social worker, and CNA, to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients enrolled in the behavioral health program.
• Engage the local community by developing and delivering educational presentations, workshops, and seminars about mental health issues and available resources.
• Provide insights and feedback on patient care processes, program development, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment strategies, and community outreach efforts.
