About The Position

Catholic Charities of Onondaga County is hiring a full-time Program Manager for its Rapid Rehousing program. The position oversees and coordinates daily services provided by Relocation Caseworkers and support staff, and plans and implements activities to ensure the success of Relocation Services. The manager oversees services that relocate and support homeless and housing-vulnerable individuals in accordance with funding-source requirements. The role includes staff and volunteer recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation; advocacy and resource support for the program, staff, and participants; monitoring expenses and program assets; making budget recommendations; and setting program objectives. The manager ensures required program statistics and reports are completed and maintained on time, maintains a clean and safe environment as appropriate, serves as a liaison to governmental agencies at local, state, and national levels, and leads efforts to improve productivity and quality. The position requires mobility to drive to and participate in meetings at clients’ homes and community facilities, which may not meet federal accessibility standards for people with disabilities. Manual dexterity is needed to work with children and adults in a challenging and active environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge of the local human services delivery system, including public benefit programs.
Valid New York State driver’s license.
New York State driver’s license check.
New York State Central Registry clearance.
Intermediate computer skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Establish short- and long-term program objectives.
Ensure timely completion and maintenance of program statistics and reports required by the funding source and Catholic Charities.
Maintain a clean and safe environment as appropriate.
Act as a liaison to governmental agencies and interface at local, state, and national levels as required.
Lead efforts to increase productivity and quality within the area of operation.
