Program Manager, Partnerships

Braze•Chicago, IL
•$92,000 - $131,200

About The Position

The Program Manager, Partnerships works across the Partnerships department to own high-priority programs and projects, establish clear visibility into workstreams, and build repeatable processes. The role supports flagship events such as SKO and Forge Partner Day, cross-functional initiatives, urgent executive requests, and the department’s operating rhythm. It maintains a single source of truth for initiatives, including owners, status, dependencies, and risks, with Jira as the source of truth. Success means delivering high-quality work on time and ensuring the department has transparent, dependable visibility into progress. The role partners closely with the AVP, Partner Experience, the SVP, Partnerships, Partner Operations, pillar leads, leadership, and cross-functional teams. It supports OKRs, monthly and quarterly business reviews, quarterly narratives, monthly All Hands, department updates, PR-FAQ tracking, annual planning, and employee-engagement survey follow-up. It may also help coordinate work to align Braze’s partner program with Salesforce’s broader program and ecosystem if the acquisition completes. This is a delivery and clarity-focused role, not one that owns departmental content or decisions. The manager drives execution and accountability without formal authority, identifies gaps and risks early, communicates concise updates and practical solutions, and handles sensitive information with discretion.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in program management, project management, or strategy and operations roles at a B2B SaaS or technology company.
  • Experience ideally supporting a go-to-market, partnerships, or alliances team.
  • Experience driving cross-functional programs from brief to delivery with multiple stakeholders and senior people.
  • Experience running events or company moments involving speakers, content, and tight timelines.
  • Experience building visibility across a portfolio of workstreams using trackers, status reporting, and tools such as Jira.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, including the ability to turn updates and numbers into clear information for leaders.
  • Skilled at facilitating meetings with senior people, keeping meetings on time, and concluding with clear actions and owners.
  • Data-driven and comfortable building trackers and identifying inconsistencies in numbers.
  • Highly organized and able to manage many deadlines and different kinds of work while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Able to build processes from scratch and keep them practical and lightweight.
  • Comfortable using Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Able to lead through influence, communicate clearly, balance strategic context with operational detail, and maintain strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a single view of cross-departmental initiatives, including owners, status, dependencies, and risks, using Jira as the source of truth.
  • Run regular workstream check-ins, surface concerns and risks early, and provide leadership with a clear picture of progress.
  • Manage ad-hoc and flagship projects from brief through delivery by agreeing on scope and owners, building plans, managing dependencies and timelines, and conducting follow-up.
  • Support Partnerships’ contribution to company events such as SKO, Forge Partner Day, and departmental kick-offs, including coordinating narratives, themes, speakers, content, Marketing, and Events.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives by clarifying responsibilities, keeping work moving, and ensuring initiatives are closed out properly.
  • Support the department’s operating rhythm, including OKRs, monthly and quarterly business reviews, quarterly narratives, and monthly All Hands; build trackers and templates, collect inputs, prepare pre-reads, and help run sessions.
  • Support department updates and the PR-FAQ tracker for major launches, maintaining consistent format, tone, timing, and accurate status.
  • Support annual planning with the SVP, Partnerships and Partner Operations team.
  • Track employee engagement survey follow-up actions through completion and report on changes made.
  • If the acquisition of Braze by Salesforce completes, help plan and track work to align the Braze partner program with Salesforce’s broader partner program and ecosystem.
  • Claim unassigned initiatives, establish clear accountability, and steer work through to successful execution.
  • Facilitate productive meetings, prepare concise and actionable leadership updates, and maintain transparent progress and risk tracking.
  • Handle sensitive and unreleased information with discretion.
