About The Position

The Program Manager II will work on Google Data Centers’ Central Operations function as part of the Spares Readiness team. The role supports the improvement and sustainment of projects and programs that ensure data centers have spare parts available when needed. It involves leading complex, multidisciplinary projects, coordinating stakeholders, managing schedules and risks, and communicating progress and deadlines across teams. The position contributes to the efficient and safe operation of Google’s data centers and core technical infrastructure.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
At least 2 years of experience in program or project management.
Experience in infrastructure operations, supply chain operations, data center operations, or manufacturing.
Experience managing critical spare parts processes and systems.

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Ability to operate in a technical, agile environment.
Lean/Six Sigma training.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver predictable program communication plans with program stakeholders, including communications targeted to different stakeholder types.
Determine program lifecycle phasing and metrics to support continuous improvement and effective deployment of machine and people resources, in collaboration with stakeholders and accounting for near- and long-term objectives.
Determine and collect the data needed to execute and govern programs effectively.
Independently maintain project trackers and status reports.
Identify and execute program tasks, proactively managing dependencies.
Execute change management requirements identified by program stakeholders.
Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, manage their expectations, and ensure they have the insights needed to make effective decisions.
