About The Position

Albertina Kerr is seeking a dynamic and passionate Program Manager to lead an adult residential neighborhood group home and help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health challenges achieve their full potential and lead self-determined lives in their communities. The Program Manager leads, mentors, and trains staff in the organization’s core competencies, policies, procedures, and administrative rules, and ensures individual support plans are developed and implemented. The role coordinates necessary or desired services for each person supported, fills in as a Direct Support Professional when needed to maintain staffing ratios, and serves as the primary staff contact 24 hours per day, five days per week. The Program Manager also helps prevent and resolve conflicts and leads and manages change. This is an on-site position at an adult residential group home in Cornelius, Oregon. The ideal candidate has group home and management experience and is energized by leading teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience delivering attendant care to adults in a setting regulated by the Oregon Department of Human Services or the Oregon Health Authority.
• Verbal and written English proficiency sufficient to communicate with people supported, coworkers, and community members.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to relate effectively with clients and families.
• Ability to respond to crisis situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
• Licensed driver with at least two years of driving experience and no more than two driving infractions in the last two years.
• Ability to meet background-check and reference-check requirements.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating the work of two or more individuals.
• Group home and management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and train staff.
