About The Position

The AU Globe Program Leader (AGPL) position is a part-time student staff member who supports the AU Globe Living-Learning Community. The AGPL plays a crucial role in assisting faculty and sophomore students in integrating learning experiences from both inside and outside the classroom. The main goal of the AGPL is to foster interpersonal relationships and create a Living-Learning environment that maximizes opportunities for student learning and growth. The AGPL reports to University College & Sophomore Living-Learning Communities staff and is expected to collaborate closely with the AU Globe Faculty Liaison, other faculty involved in the community, and other staff members (other ACPLs, Resident Assistants, etc.). This role emphasizes the AGPL as an active and integral staff member within the campus community, holding a position of responsibility and leadership, and is expected to be proactive.

  • Currently enrolled AU student.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly and professionally with faculty, supervisors, and G.L.O.B.E. staff.
  • Support students academically and socially, promoting engagement in both coursework and co-curricular activities.
  • Serve as a resource, helping students navigate university life and connect with appropriate services.
