About The Position

BronxWorks is seeking a Program Director for Bronx Point, a supportive housing program in the Bronx, New York. Bronx Point provides services and permanent housing to 82 formerly homeless households, including individuals and families with children. The role oversees program operations and an on-site team while supporting staff in providing services to residents. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional Saturdays.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work or another related field of study.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a related field.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology.
• Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to climb five flights of stairs if required for home visits or fieldwork.
• Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.
• Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and adjacent counties via public transportation.
• Ability to travel at least one mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather, if required for home visits or fieldwork.

Nice To Haves

• LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of up to 15 on-site staff, including directly supervising three staff members.
• Oversee Rep Payee Services.
• Oversee Medication Monitoring.
• Complete reports to DOHMH and other entities as required.
• Schedule and conduct interviews for new tenants.
• Maintain familiarity with agency, city, and state resources available to clients.
• Assist case management staff during crises and activate appropriate emergency services when needed.
• Lead and organize staff meetings and trainings as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
