About The Position

Bancroft is hiring a Direct Support Professional for its BI - Adult Day department in Mt Laurel. The role supports children and adults with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities, or those in need of neurological rehabilitation. Direct Support Professionals provide quality care in a positive and empathetic manner and help the people served develop daily living skills and independence through personalized plans of care. The schedule is Wednesday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., and Saturday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. The hourly rate is $19.06–$19.44.

The position involves working as part of a supportive, accountable team; communicating with residents, families, and guardians; and planning events and outings that build the Bancroft community. The work can be physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging, and every hour may bring different activities. Weekend availability is required.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Work well in teams and be open to learning new skills.
• Have the ability and willingness to work weekends.
• Have a current driver's license in good standing.
• Have a strong desire to work with autistic and/or intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
