Program Associate
About The Position
Bancroft is hiring a full-time, in-person Direct Support Professional for its Children’s Residential department in My Laurel, New Jersey. The role supports children and adults with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities, or people in need of neurological rehabilitation. Direct Support Professionals provide quality care in a positive and empathetic manner and help the people they serve build daily living skills, independence, and community connections. The position is non-exempt and pays $19.19–$19.58 per hour, plus an additional incentive. The listed schedule is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 9 p.m.–7 a.m. Weekend availability is required. The work can vary from hour to hour and may be physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding. Bancroft describes itself as a care team of 2,700 employees across more than 200 facilities and homes in New Jersey and Delaware. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Work well in teams and be open to learning new skills.
- Ability and willingness to work weekends.
- Current driver's license in good standing.
- Strong desire to work with autistic and/or intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals.
