The Program Assistant will perform all duties according to policy and procedure and our philosophy of care. This role involves observing persons entering and exiting the building, documenting and reporting incidents and daily activities, and maintaining a safe, secure, responsive, inclusive, and non-discriminatory environment for clients. The Program Assistant must maintain appropriate, professional, and ethical boundaries with clients, be punctual, flexible, and reliable. Responsibilities include answering the main facility telephone, facilitating medication observation, supporting searches for contraband, ensuring clients are dressed appropriately and adhering to facility rules, distributing client mail, performing security and wellness checks, assisting with urine analysis and breath alcohol testing, adhering to privacy protocols, assisting in emergency responses and drills, responding to unusual incidents, assisting other departments, aiding in client admissions and exits, maintaining direction within a changing project scope, and assisting with sanitization of high-touch surfaces. Bilingual Spanish-speaking Program Assistants will be responsible for communication with Spanish-speaking participants and will receive a bilingual premium. Other related duties as required.
