About The Position
Chrysalis Host Home seeks families to welcome a person with disabilities into their home. The Host Home program, similar to foster care, provides children and adults with intellectual disabilities a loving, nurturing family environment. As a Host Home Parent, you work from home while caring for the individual. The role is suited to families who enjoy caring for others and can provide a safe, clean environment while building rapport, offering support, and advocating for the person in their care. This is a contracted position. Monthly payment depends on the level of care the individual needs and includes a room-and-board payment and a daily rate of $99–$150 for each day the individual is in your care. The stated annual pay range is $36,000–$55,000.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must have an available bedroom in the home.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Report.
- Must complete all company training.

- Nursing or CNA background.
- Teacher or aide background.
- Caregiver background.
Responsibilities
- Transport, schedule, and attend medical appointments with the individual.
- Transport the individual to and from activities as needed.
- Complete monthly paperwork.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for the individual.
- Assist the individual with daily living skills and individual goals.
